Nano Metal Surface Treatment Solutions

1. Traditional metal surface treatment - passive anti-eclipse

Traditional metal surface pretreatment process was choosing chemical conversion coating or anodizing to use as corrosion inhibitors, and this hexavalent chromate ions (Cr+6) would provide better ability of elementary corrosion resistance protection. But the industrial effluent will contain lots of chromic acid would cause serious environmental pollution. The more regulation has been restricted for using chromatic chemicals nailed to the surface pretreatment pollution is applied on the metal. By the way, in order to avoid the application to Cu, Mg, and Ti used effect is not better than Al, Fe, such metal use chemical conversion coating for its sacrificial anode would be following this traditional processes. These traditional electrochemical routes of corrosion prevention to the metal could be concluded as “passive anti-eclipse for metals.”
2. PEACCO non-chromium metal surface treatment - driving anti-eclipse

Peacco Enterprise Corp. (Taipei, Taiwan) we are honored to introduce a simple and environmentally benign metal surface pretreatment process (the Peacco’s fine process). The technology was applied to Aerospace industry before. It’s an aqueous or alcohol solvent-based solution can be used to apply on the metal to form an organic–inorganic nano–composite thin film coating, which could also provide better corrosion resistance than the traditional treatment. The nano-composite coating could unify closely with the metal, and become a tightly protective nanoscale thin film, which could cut off the air oxygen and moisture to corrode the metal’s surface safely. It may also combine the anchored chemical bond with the organic adhesive for paint or electroplate. The performance is as following:

(1).  These solutions are different to divide into aqueous or solvent-based on the applications, they are environmentally benign and content no hazardous chemicals. Otherwise, the aqueous solutions don’t have the VOC question.
(2).  These solutions can be applied by dip, spin, spray, or roller coating to get the thin film may be smaller than 1 μm to several μm. All of these applications are very cheap, simple and effective.
(3).  The nano-composite coating could unify closely with the metal, which also could combine an anchored chemical bond with other organic adhesive or paint. The effect is much better than the traditional treatment such as chemical conversion coating or anodizing. This may explain why the nano-composite coating is thinner, and its effect can equate even surpasses chemical conversion coating, anodizing, or the organic paint.
(4). The nano-composite coating based on different application, we can follow the products’ specification to make the order. Such as: tightly adhesion, great corrosion resistance, anti-sweat, high hardness, high glossy, hydrophobic or hydrophilic.
(5).  If you revise the nano-composite coating’s composition, it could be applied in many different metals or the alloys, such as Al, Ag, Cu, Ti, Mg, SUS, Zn or galvanized steel SECC/SGCC breakage/cut edge. And it may also be substituted for the primer, its primary bottom coat even could be used as the finish coat.
(6).  No water rinse after coating process, so that it wouldn’t have wastewater, in other words, it would not cause serious environmental pollution to compare with the traditional metal surface treatment. In our treatment process, we also can reduce the lots of water usage of the productio
